He will struggle a lot though if the courts are very slow like the Count said.

I'm pretty sure Josh is in a few of the pics they've just posted, e.g. http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=5292972&id=303741293754&l=0befbe5dc1#!/photo.php?pid=5292979&id=303741293754&l=0befbe5dc1&fbid=409051528754

Just looked at the pics. Interesting to see, has he swapped back to wilson racquets?

I know he made the change from Wilson to Head during the graass season, Im sure the racquets in the pics are Wilson, i could be wrong though, he strings havent been painted with any symbol.

Looks to be almost over. James is broken again, so Anderson is now serving for the match.

Titles in past years up to week 15

2008: 2 ATPs (Muzza), 5 Futures (Baker 2, Josh 2, Bloomers 1) in singles + 10 doubles titles

2009: 3 ATPs (including 1 Masters), 1 Challenger (Evo) + 9 doubles titles

2010: 1 slam Final (not a title but pretty significant), 1 Future (Eaton) + 6 doubles titles

However, part of this drop in titles might be due to players having more of a go at ATP & Challenger qualifying than last year instead of sticking to Futures, and 13 of the GB men have gone up more than 5% in the rankings this year compared to 10 who are down more than 5%, and 4 of 5 most negative changes are players who started concentrating on doubles last year. (the other one is Evo, the one Brit other than Muzza who won a title in the first quarter last year)

The first few weeks of the year felt great in the mens game, couple of ATP qualifiers, Baker/Eaton futures final........since then though its felt awful.....someone somewhere must be due to beam a ray of light on our hopes.......a fully rested and practised Boggo perhaps?

Amusing blog from Jamie B today http://www.lta.org.uk/Articles/Jamie-Baker-blog/15032010---Back-on-the-Road/ - includes:

- a semi pasty-armed Jocko pic for Ratty (apologies if it wasn't you Ratty, I can't be bothered to hunt for the reference)

- "I will be driving with Mr Goodall. I am looking for 2 things from Josh: Competent map reading skills and a good feel for the radio. If he starts harping on about how Chelsea are going to win the league then Im afraid other road users might be distracted by the sun glaring off my white ipod earphones!" biggrin

I see Jamie is very positive about playing in the USA and more generally.

I must say from the few weeks I have spent in various parts of that country what I really like is their general attitude, a half-full attitude compared to the half-empty negativity that pervades so much in the UK.

yeah there is a definite shift in attitide, even Alex mentioned it to me. when he hooked up with an American coach the coach was much more positive about everything. i guess thats the Yank way.

leave us Brits to our doom and gloom, nothing better than a good old winge smile.gif

Also don't think Evo's having too great of a time, on his FB status it's pleading that he wants to go home and also put a comment about his height not helping him either at the moment
