QR1: Josh Milton WR 539 v (q6) Sebastian Rieschick (GER) WR 423
Wardy, Evo, Baker and Josh were all on the alts list here (1, 3, 6 & 10 respectively) and the top seed in qualifying was the 13th alt for the MD, so I guess it's just about possible that they all scraped in

QR1: Josh Milton WR 539 lost to (q6) Sebastian Rieschick (GER) WR 423 by 4-6 7-5 6-3
The other four Brits all ended up as DAs though, Josh being the last in, and could hardly have asked for better draws, at least as far as R1 is concerned!
L32: Josh Goodall WR 314 v Qualifier L32: Jamie Baker WR 285 v Tim Smyczek (USA) WR 203 L32: Dan Evans WR 365 v (WC) Alexander Domijan (USA) WR 656 L32: James Ward WR 267 v Qualifier

L32: Josh Goodall WR 312 v (Q) Philip Bester (CAN) WR 521 L32: Jamie Baker WR 282 v Tim Smyczek (USA) WR 203 L32: Dan Evans WR 363 v (WC) Alexander Domijan (USA) WR 656 L32: James Ward WR 257 v (Q) Bryan Koniecko (USA) WR 1117
The winner of Josh's match will play Kamke in R2 ater the German knocked out no. 8 seed Yani yesterday, the winner of Jamie's match will play (6) Dabul or Kuznetsov, the winner of Evo's match will play (8) Kendrick or Wolmarans and the winner of Wardy's match will play (2) Anderson or Matosevic. So, it's going to be tough to get to the QFs, but it would be very disappointing not to get at least 3/4 through to R2.

My rankings don't make these matches look so easy..
L32: Josh Goodall AK 411 v (Q) Philip Bester (CAN) AK 435 (53%) L32: Jamie Baker AK 274 v Tim Smyczek (USA) AK 194 (39%) L32: Dan Evans AK 448 v (WC) Alexander Domijan (USA) AK 410 (46%) L32: James Ward AK 333 v (Q) Bryan Koniecko (USA) AK 671 (80%)
That's only 2 Brits likely to progress.
Sorry to be the harbinger of doom, but a pessimist is less easily disappointed!

That's sobering stuff, especially when your rankings are usually more accurate. However, these are the kind of Challenger draws that they've just got to take advantage of if they want a chance of ever making a decent impact at this level.
