According to the oop Eaton played first up. As Bally's match (also 1st on) has finished does any one know what happened?

Ouch. That was a big opportunity to make Quarters. Shame.

People have been asking on the SA blog site what the results are. One Belgian journalist was desperate to know the result of someone's match as a filing deadline must have been imminent. They are told the blog writer is in the tournament hotel and must wait for the tournament referee who is down in Soweto, to give him/her the results. If they have no water do they have telephones? We are told to "be patient" and they will be posted at end of play. Makes the LTA seem on the ball!

Yeah, but can you imagine what the LTA would be like if they worked out of
Soweto? methinks they are doing their best....

What a great result from Chris!!!

I thought he could do it and judging by the scoreline a really close one to come through.

Where did you find the result?

Just hope they're correct. You can imagine that working without water for the last week can muddle the mind.

Oh no, what a pity  cry

The pigeon flies all that way to the blogwriter's hotel and still there is some breakdown in the hightech systems.

Still seems a decent performance by Chris, but probably no real consolation when missing out on the 9 further ranking points a win would have given him.

I feel for poor spud too.
