Liam Broady returns to junior action here, needing to win the tournament to break into the top 100 for the first time. He didn't have the best start today, losing his doubles.

Girls R1 (L32)

(7) Heini Salonen (FIN) d. Elliesa Ball (GBR) 6-2 6-1

This one is but oddly next week's Spanish Grade 3 is on hardcourts and the following week there is a Grade 2 on clay.

Disappointing from Liam after encouraging early signs at the start of the season he has had a poor perod of form since.
