Emma's match was second on after 8.30 am local time, and if it went the way I expected cry

, British participation was finished before I started the thread.

Except that curiously the number 21 in the entry list is in qualies, I don't think there are any SEs, so the tourney still has a place for Amanda in the main draw. confuse

Perhaps she forgot she'd applied for a WC at Jersey. Hope there aren't any unpleasant consequences of this apparent mix-up. Probably the only confusion is in my head.

Looks like she was in Turkey but might have been better off taking up the WC in Jersey after all (maybe the BA strike was actually what stopped her) - she lost 1-6 6-1 6-0 bleh

Any mini revival Mandy was having I think it is fair to say has come to a shuddering halt.

Yes, that does look very disappointing and I read nothing to suggest that that opponent should be serving out bakery products. A bit shocked by these last two sets.

I just hope it's a one-off for whatever reasons and that Mandy can at least get back to where she was asap.
