Oh dear, that was all getting a bit too straightforward for our beloved Katie (beloved in much the same sense as the average French fan must love Dammit Gasquet ...) - McHale held to get on the board in the 2nd set and has now broken - 3-6 5-2*

Not to worry though, she breaks to 15 to take the 2nd set with a 100% 1st serve % - my guess is that the 1st serve % is erroneously counting only dfs as missed 1st serves.
3-6 6-2 *0-0

A huge win for Katie given her recent slump in form. Clearly something clicked at the end of that first set which appears to have put her back to a higher playing level. She will have to improve again to beat Krajicek who is playing better than last year but I would be disappointed if it is not at least a tight match.
As for Bally I expected nothing less. On her form this year she should beat Chan but I am not as confident for this match as I have been about her other matches this year.
Relieved that Katie has broken her losing streak. The match before Bally (Rodionova v De Los Rios) has just split sets, so it will probably be about an hour before Bally starts.
