Ditty beat Elena 2 & 4 the last time they met (Lexington 2007) but she is 1-5 against Brits since, having lost to Georgie (twice), Mel (1 & 0), Cav and Katie, her one win coming against Tara Moore. Her CH was 89 in March 2008, she is now ranked 397, having been out of action between August last year and her first match back earlier this month, which was one of the two losses to Georgie.

She'll miss the extra points if she starts getting straight in! LOL Though the other Premier Mandatories must have smaller draws, so maybe she still won't.

Draw is out, Heather got a qualifier and Wozniacki in R2, Anne got Paszek and Pavly in the next round, providing they win their matches of course.
I actually think some of the qualifiers (like Sevastova and Bally) are tougher than many of the MD players.. I just hope she avoids top top 6 seeds really, and even then it's tough but we'll see. If she's up for it and ready to beat top 100 players then I would LOVE to see her play Wozniacki. Wozniacki doesn't have any weapons regardless of what her rank says so if Heather is patient and willing to come to the net then she wouls have a chance of at least pushin g(excuse the pun) Wozniacki. But anyway, hopefully we can have 3 brits in R2. It's doable if Bally doesn't draw Heather, in which case I would probably jump off a cliff..

No, I mean she is a good player. But her game in a nutshell is consistency, moonballs and defence. Although we didn't see it, I can imagine all three simply went for every single shot and eventually the ball would fly out, but Caroline struggles with players who come to the net. Sure she did well to make those two finals but most of her big results are the product of collapsing draws rather than taking out the biggest names in tennis.
Anyway my point is that if they were to play, Wozniacki wouldn't hit Heather off the court compared to if she was to play, say, the Williams Sisters or Sharapova. Anyway, it doesn't matter yet, she is still a long way from that. Good luck Heather!

Would be great to see Heather win a round ( and all these luvly luvly points ) and then face Wozniacki. The qualifier is still likely to be decently ranked though, in fact quite likely to a top 100 player so a tough task.
Don't think she'd get particularly close to Wozniacki in term of games won, but it would still be a great experience.
Anyway, was just looking at Wozniacki's WTA page really re her activity and I must admit draws have opened up for her more than I realised. She's still a heck of a good player though. Re her WTA page, I do approve of her pic

Caro is not the second best player in the world for sure but she would make the top 10. Heather will have to play a qualifier who will be used to the conditions etc. and as Indiana said most likely a top 100 player so a very tough ask but dare I say not impossible.
Very good draw for Anne as Paszek is a fraction of the player that emerged with so much potential when she was just 16.
