Niland closes out the first set 6-2 with a big first serve Dan can't get into play. Haven't watched much of it but a few points I have seen have ended when Dan's slice down the line just drifted wide, so hopefully he can be a bit more soild in the 2nd and try and get into some of Niland's service games.

Niland murdering Dan's serve, 3 returns all on the basline Dan can't get back into play bring up 2 bps at the start of the 2nd. Dan saves the first with a great volley off a decent pass by Niland but another double fault gives the break away. Dan not happy, yells f*** as loud as he can.

30-15, Dan hits huge forehand to set up easy smash but nets it. Good attempt at a pass from Dan but Niland frames it back over and it drops dead right at the net.

6-2 2-0 down.

2 good serves take dan to 30-0 but a clean winner from Niland and another df back to 30 all. 2 more first serves get dan on the scoreboard in the 2nd set, 2-1.

30 all on Niland's serve after some good deep hitting from Dan forces a couple of errors. Niland plays a great point, pushing Dan all over the court before finding a great angle to hit the winner. Ace and 3-1.

Unfortunately broken to love. Dan also got a warning for racket abuse. cry

Dan dumps a forehand into the net to bring up 3 break points for Niland and the racket goes flying. Niland hits a winner when not even in the picture to go up 4-1 with a double break, looks like its all over.

Dan hasn't helped himself with some double faults at bad times but then again Niland seems to have played very well.
