Ward loses 7-6(5) 7-6(4).

Very encouarging for Wardinator though. Shows that he can mix it at a much higher level than his current ranking.

*2-5
*3-5
oh no, changes to *2-6
3-6*, 2 mps on Ignatik's serve
4-6*
4-7

Wardinator loses 7-6(5) 7-6(4)

Only one break each in the match, so if Wardy had been able to go a double break up in the first might have been a different story. Still he didn't have a single bp in the 2nd set, so probably a fair result. Even so very encouraging he is anle to push a fast improving top 200 player all the way. Hopefully he can follow Smethurst's progress from last year and end the year inside 400.

That's on the face of it a very good effort effort by Wardinator against a top 200 player.

Pity he couldn't even have pulled out a win, but things continue to look good for his progress up the rankings  smile

but luckily still better than his one hour long hip-hop opera "Trapped in the closet"....British tennis would really be screwed if theyd been worse than that
