- Eaton & Evo spotted on the golf course yesterday - the centre is excellent, with enough room for a joint men's/women's event and chalets where the players can stay on site, etc - BUT one of the two tennis halls at the centre (4 courts each) is going to be scrapped to make way for 5-a-side football due to lack of demand for the tennis facilities - the balcony was busy yesterday, not clear whether that was mainly players or proper spectators, probably the former - Valent, who beat Golding yesterday, is a former Wimbledon Junior Champion who quit tennis a few years ago but is now making a comeback - there are eight LTA staff there including Greg Rusedski - Aucks has joined the LTA coaching staff and is being mentored by Louis Cayer to help with the doubles players

Wardy wins first set loses first service game in the second set, loses match Boggo wins first set loses first service game in the second set, loses match Smethurst wins first set loses first service game in the second set
Goodall wins second set loses first service game in the third set
... another variation on that sad theme

Seems a bit premature. If our little Channel Island lady lives up to her potential over the next couple of years there could be a groundswell of Jersey participation and they'll be wanting those courts.
Smethurst just had to save 3 bps serving at 6-3 *4-3. Here's a 4th though ... broken
Btw had the seedings been based on this week's rankings rather than last week, Kamke would have been the seed in Evo's little section instead of Sijsling.
