Anna is going to have find something special to win this one. So my confidence is quite low.
Larsson albeit not quite in the same form as at the end of last year should be that little bit too good. Heres hoping otherwise.

It was always going to really tough for Anna.  I did think with the way she was playing even this might be possible.  But it was one step too far.

However, another great week for Anna, well her best week yet.  Really well done.

difficult playing against your egular doubles player. remember seing Larsson in Edinburgh about 4 years ago I think she was beaten by Claire Peterzan another GB girl who gave up who had potential

Smith and Larsson don't appear to be regular doubles partners any more, having just teamed up once this year, in Stockholm in early February.

I sense Anna in particular has more chosen to go her independant way and concentrate more on her singles, so where she wants to be for that comes first and that inevitably takes her on a different course from Larsson.  I guess they might still team up occasionally, though I note they didn't take the opportunity here.

I suspect Anna more just met her match on the day rather than any particular separate difficulty in playing Larsson.
