Not good news, Windley lost 6-2 5-7 6-3 and Alex Walker lost 6-7 6-3 6-1 cry

All down to Anna to give us any british representatives in the quarters.

Sort of expected that from Anna, a real form player at the moment ( but no WC for Jersey  disbelief.gif )

Hopefully, she can go further too and would appear to have a real chance.

Seen much of her playing, SWC ?

Unfortunately not. Was hoping to see her but the Groth v RBA match went on so long I had to leave before Anna's game started. Also, managed to miss her Tuesday and Monday too.

If she reaches the final, I might find time to watch her then.

I watched most of Alex's game today and was pretty impressed with her play. I think she faded as her belief waned rather than her actual play, but a few more games against players of Barry's level will give her more confidence. I reckon top 1000 before the end of the year is a realistic target for her.

I'll head over tomorrow so should be able to report back on how Anna's been playing.  I saw her lose heavily to Heather in Frinton last year, although she wasn't in the best of shape at the time having played quite a few matches.  Hopefully will be able to see what if anything she's changed this year.

Curtis/Fitzpatrick, seeded 2, are through to the doubles SF where they meet the 3rd seeds. Unusually all four top seeds got through to the SF.
