Week 10 - ATP 1000 Series - Indian Wells, USA

Hutch partners Andy here and they have drawn Flake and A-Rod in the first round, and if they get to the second round are likely to face the top seeds Nestor/Zimonjic.

Oh, Ross! Double-fault on set point and our lads lose the first set 5-7.

They lost 5-7 6-7 (can't remember the tb score)

Ah well Andy, now concentrate on the singles.

Not so great for Ross though, since was defending 180 points ( QF place ) from last year.

Defending another 180 points in Miami, but back with Kerr for that.

I don't know if Hutchins / Kerr thought they would need higher ranked partners to get in to IW ( or Andy just told Ross he fancied playing some doubles smile )  but in the end it does look as if they would have got in OK.

I'm sure Andy could have found another doubles partner if Ross has wanted to play with Kerr.

Don't get me wrong, and I was just joking a bit about Andy requesting Ross to come play doubles.

It was no doubt a mutual agreement, partly ( well maybe largely ) based on the fact that at one stage a Hutchins / Kerr partnership would have been quite far down the alternates list and looking like would miss out on entry.
