Any reason for Nic being baglled by an unranked and presumably very tired opponent? Seems like she has some good wins but is still liable to turning in the odd very poor performance. I don't see her breaking into top 500 anytime soon.

It is a rather poor result. Can we get away with putting it down to the altitude?

FQR: (q7) Amanda Elliott WR 772 beat (q14) Alina Sullivan (USA) WR 1106 by 7-6(5) 6-2 smile.gif

L32: (Q) Amanda Elliott WR 772 v Katie Ruckert (USA) WR 542 (CH 364 last May)
L32: Jocelyn Rae WR 491 v (2) Maria-Fernanda Alves (BRA) WR 262 (CH 132 in 2005)

They'll do well to get a point between them here ...

The altitude (I have got the right Metepec, haven't I?) should help a player with Joss's height and serve and even things up a bit...

I'm pretty sure Allen is a fairly decent american college player which explains why she's 24 and has barely played any tennis (as college players obviously cannot turn pro) but looking at her results i'm not sure if that's a good excuse, but it's the only one I can think of!
