Anyone understand the post about evo? Is he playing
edit: am i right in saying wolf has just guessed at the wc's looking at the dubs draw, but now he has seen evo is playing?
i did wonder if evo would get a wc, but after two 5 setters, i had thought no chance, but a win here, would be great to get back on track, and get the defeat out his mind

The way I understand is that wolf was guessing who the main draw wc's would be by finding 4 players in the doubles draw who were not in singles or ranked high enough, but also found Dan Evans's name in there (assuming of course he hasn't just misread it as Oli Evans....)
This would imply that Dan does have a WC here as it would be ridiculous for him to only play doubles at this event, and he is entered next week in Bath as well, so would be on his way to the UK anyway.

He said "Fo wcs i assumed by looking at dubs draw but just noticed dan evans there as well" - I read this as meaning that he had tried to work out the WCs by seeing who was in the doubles draw but wasn't a singles DA and hadn't played in qualifying, 4 players fitted that bill but he's just seen Evo there as well so assumes he's got one too.
However, we now have official word on the LTA site - the WCs are:
... so S-Merkovic (Sterland-Markovic) and Davis must just be there to play doubles.
Good WC picks, I think - Evo was down to play Sarajevo qualies and had to miss them for DC, so fair enough that he gets a WC here desptie not having entered, I think.
I think Evo will end up as the no. 2 seed here behind Bautista-Agut, with Josh dropping down to no. 3.

EVOOOOO, time to bounce back, pumped that golding's in the draw aswell, had a feeling he was injured considering he skipped last week, and wolf didnt seem to think he was playing
Maybe they had held a place open anyway and that's why the list wasn't published until today?
Anyway, it looks like even if Charroin wins, we will have 21 or 22 Brits (depending on whether the late w/d was a Brit or not) in the main draw here - that's almost at S American home Futures level and the most Brits in a main draw that I can remember!

I suppose that could be the reason and would make sense as neither of the other two names in the doubles draw would have been near the top of my list of potential wild cards.

So Glasspool has shocked Broady and Gabb this week - where's he found this form from?!
