RE: Week 10 Challenger - (€30,000) - Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina

was gutted when FD sent the text through with the bad news, still wont shoot the messanger, thasts mate.

i really feel for alex, from what i saw he was playing really well, yet to come so close and just miss out is devastating. hopefully if he can maintain this level then he will keep rising upthe rsnkings. needs to put the what might have been here behind him and hope for a good run at Jersey. hopefully he'll be seeded in the top 4. and gopefully he'll avoid muller early stages.

Wish the LTA would get behind Boggo more. Outside of Andy Alex is our best player. He should be brought back into DC for the Turkey match as well not constantly dismissed. How does that help him and what message does it give to others. Alex is not that far away from the top 100 and given that he is playing well at the moment he sould be bothed helped and encoraged to make the top 100. Nigel Sears has had a big input in the womens game and helped tremendously with Bally, Anne and Katie and they were like Boggo in the top 150. If Alex continues to play well this year then he should be given the lead in the DC match with Turkey as can't see Murray playing. Get behind our no2.

Whilst I would love to see Alex recognised for the talent that he has, I still hope he just continues to chase his own ranking. He's working very hard to get back to his top level and a break for Davis Cup again at the wrong time for his schedule could just set him back yet again.

Given the lack of respect he's been shown, I would wholeheartedly support a refusal by him to play Davis Cup if he's asked.

Beck ended up losing the final 7-6(5), 3-6, 0-1 RET.

Maybe he retired to fatigue as he played alot of court time this week or maybe he has an injury. Anyway i hope Beck dosnt play Jersey

Would any of these folk that have recently been retiring in later matches after beating Brits be nice and retire sometimes against our folk please  hmm.gif

OK, I guess Rafa retired against Andy at the Aus Open, but still just seems to have been a few folk retiring at quite the wrong time recently.
