Assuming Jamie did win (& I admit I thought he was going to blow it more than once from the beginning of the second set onwards! Pleased to see his battling qualities come to the fore to prove me wrong, though! ), he'll face the q4, Robert Kendrick, in the FQR. A real toughie, that one...
Jamie did beat Kendrick 3-6 6-4 6-2 in Champaign, Illinois Challenger in November so although potentially pretty tough that's quite encouraging. They met once previously in a 2007 USA Challenger when Kendrick won 6-3 6-4.
I would have said that Jamie was definitely in better form at the end of last year than he had shown so far this year, but again today's performance is much more encouraging win ( or lose !!? )
They are still going evidently, that'll be 17 hours now
If anything I'm more taken by the ATP homepage photo of "Legends share the court in Delray Beach", those legends being John McEnroe and errr James Blake
