Tara Moore

Emina was her doubles partner in Colombia so it will be interesting to see if a) what did they both eat, was it the same b) was Emina tested at the same time?

The more I think about this the more I believe it mustve been an accident. Its such a glaringly obvious drug for starters and surely she wouldnt risk the partnership with her actual wife? Who is still playing, so cant have been affected.

Nadrolone is a muscle growth stimulant, right? Not being funny, but Tara is not exactly built like Dwain Chambers... I'm sure that this is one of those classic (awful) accidental ingestion situations (supplements or the like). Which doesn't mean it won't mean a ban. Poor Tara.

Nandrolone is what Rusedski was tested positive for and showed hed eaten contaminated supplements.

 I'd completely forgotten about that.

Surely it must be some terrible mistake?

The Daily Telegraph has a headline and a write up  on Tara's failed drugs test and  facing a ban. I think she got a bigger write up over this than anything in her  tennis playing  career .

Apparently another player (Gatica from Chile) has been suspended based on a sample from the same tournament as Tara that came back positive for the same substance as Tara.

Sounds a bit suspicious if you ask me. Of all the tournaments that go on this one has two players that test positive for the same substance. Sounds like contamination to me. For the sake of Tara & Barbara you actually hope there are a few more.

They were saying this is what happened to Haddad Maia. She still had to serve the suspension

At the  moment Haddad looks like, she could win Nottingham,Birmingham and Eastbourne  all in the same year which has never been done before.

Very suspicious. In this case I strongly suspect contamination. Similar happened to Robert Farah but he got off (I imagine he afforded good enough represention to ensure it!)

And I'm told they both ate the same dish at the same restaurant the night before the sample was taken. Isn't this what happened to Colombian @atptour player Robert Farah? And he was cleared eventually. @wta @wada_ama

Yes, it's all very well to have due process but what's been happening?  Got to feel very sorry for innocent players who are cleared but have lost a huge amount of time.

This came out a few days ago:

Judy asked the same question as above twitter.com/JudyMurray/status/1580955563969892353

It does seem unfair to not resolve these things quickly. I dont know whether Tara is guilty or not, hear what Judy says and hope shes right. But either way, she should be freed and allowed to earn and play or be found guilty to serve her sentence. Delays dont help anyone

"Strict liability means that a player is solely responsible for any banned substance they use, attempt to use, or is found in their system, regardless of how it got there or whether there was any intention to cheat."
