Naomi USA nightmare !

A freak snow storm at Midland Airport in Michegan,USA meant that Naomi and Roxanne Sammel's flight was cancelled and consequently they could not make the sign-in for the qualifying event at Surprise in Phoenix Arizona. The Airline would only put them on a flight 30 hours later and the tournament could make no exeption to the rules which stated they had to be at the facility in person to sign in. This was made even more frustrating when it turned out that Naomi was only 1 place out of the Main draw. Naomi will now train in the USA before the $25k events at Hammond and Clearwater.

Yes, must have been sooo frustrating.

Just have to move on.  As she says "2Mora Brings A New Day".   Get in some good quality training this week and be more ready for the next tournament.

Yes, it was Naomi B who missed out.

I like Mel's quarter - lu and Nara the seeds - but it has 3 qualies spots, which can always be dangerous. Just hope she avoids Jo (though Boserup might be tricky - beat Jade a few weeks ago).

Jo lost 5-7 retired and would have played Mel in the first round. Jo struggled a bit in the last round so hopefully her problem is just minor. She has played quite alot of tennis for her so far this year but last year she did get the odd injury.
