Great win for Bally who now makes it 14 and 3 for the season all against quality opposition.
Should win the next round and then will face the only really big name in the field Sharapova.
Low quality events like this are all about maximising ranking points and like Anne did last year 2 out of our 3 girls have started off very well.
Bally will be getting a bit tired so having the weekend off won't be the worst thing in the world of course unless she beats Maria.
As a footnote did anyone read the tweets posted by Anne tonight. I wonder who she was talking about ?

Do Anne and Bally get on? Maybe she means Bally? I notice neither follow each other on Twitter and Anne didn't mention Bally in her Memphis blog??

With play starting at 4pm GMT, Anne is 3rd on Court 1, Bally 6th on Grandstand and Anne's doubles 7th on Court 1.
