Better news from the other two:

Jo won 6-1 6-3
Georgie won 4-6 6-2 6-2

Both very good scorelines so hopeful of further progress.

Good stuff from both.

Also, quite well timed from Jo since she's losing a lot of points on Monday. Reach the final here and she'd have them all back by the following Monday  smile

Mel seems to be going in the opposite direction at the moment. That brief week she had at no99 seems so long ago now. Really needs to get something going.

mel seems to be on a downward spiral as you say 99 in rankings over a year ago now seems a flash in the pan let us hope that she can get back inside top 150 as she is capable of that

Don't forget she has nothing to defend til Nottingham in June, so actually these 8-pointers, while disappointing because she is capable of better, are more than she was achieving this time last year (albeit at a lower level - but still, money in the bank). Mel will make her breakthrough sooner or later.

Yes, certainly a good week for Georgie.  Though as I said after she beat Mel, I am not convinced that Minella's that great away from clay.  Guess she's in the final now though  hmm.gif
