Anne K, Katie and Bally are all DA's here, while Heather has recieved a wild card.
I think Heather would have been better off in qualifying, qualies are weak here as there is a 25k in the States this week as well (where Mel and Georgie are) and Heather will probably have to go straight in against top 200 opposition without having won a match so far this year.

I think I was thinking this was surely her first tourmanent back after Australia, and Australia>Britain>USA is a bit of a strange schedule in the space of three weeks.
Don't have huge expectations for this tournament after the short turnaround from the Fed Cup. I would however like to see Naomi put up a good performance. I think she'll qualify.

Having to beat the WR 973 for 4 points makes entering this event a good choice (and 6 points for beating WR 482 or 569 too).
R1: OBRIEN, Katie (GBR) 4 84 v GRANVILLE, Laura (USA) 289 R1: WATSON. Heather (GBR) WC 558 v Q R1: BALTACHA, Elena (GBR) 3 83 v Q R1: KEOTHAVONG, Anne (GBR) 127 v Q
Katie lost to Laura in this tournament 2 years ago, and although the American has struggled since returning to the tour following injury, there is always the chance that someone who was top 100 for 6 consecutive years can recover that form suddenly.
