Takes first set 6-3 after being 0-30 on his serve. Nice work Flembo.

Flembo gets broken 2-3 ... now has to try & break RD who seems to have been winning his service games fairly easily in the 3rd.

GSM to RD 6-2 in 3rd. Well, Col certainly gave it a go today. Too bad he couldn't pull this one off as he could have used the points! Seems to be playing well though ... Flemski is/are playing the Bryans on Monday evening, so they'll have to be in top form. Should be a good one!

Pity.  That seems a really good level of performance by Colin over the two matches with a couple of hours between them.  For various reasons I don't think Colin has ever come close to exhausting his potential as a singles player and probably, with the way his doubles career is going, never will.

Would have been very nice to have had the six points a Q2 win would have given him.  At least he does look in decent nick to be the back-up singles player in the Davis Cup, given surely surely Flemski will be picked.

Good luck to Flemski against the Bryans.  Hey, they've beaten them before  smile

Just to round up the results:

QR1: Harri Helliovarra (FIN) WR 666 beat Ken Skupski WR 1660 6-3 3-6 6-1 cry
QR1: Colin Fleming WR 605  beat Luka Gregorc (SLO) WR 328  6-3 6-7(5) 6-3 biggrin
QR1: (q3) Vincent Millot (FRA) WR 203 beat Jamie Baker WR 286 6-4 6-0 cry

QR2: (q5) Ryler Deheart (USA) WR 229 beat Colin Fleming WR 605 3-6 6-3 6-2 cry

Doubles
R1: (1) Bob Bryan & Mike Bryan (USA) vs Colin Fleming & Ken Skupski

Great result by Flembo in Q1, and excellent effort in Q2.  Having to play 6 sets in the space of 5 hours is tough though! shocked.gif
