I dont like how you can get in with your singles ranking. You battle away all day and are a good doubles player with a good partner- but a singles player with a better ranking who might be dreadful at dubs can get in? It doesnt make sense.
You dont see Bob Bryan, Mike Bryan, Nestor turning up playing singles at Indian Wells.
But if you can get into dubs on a singles ranking, you should be able to do the reverse! It's really unfair on the likes of, say, Anna Smith, who is a good doubles player but won't get into grand slams, while Anne K isn't much of a dubs player (and is lower ranked) but can get in on the basis of singles. It ain't right, I tells ya.
Bogdanovic is currently in a 3 way tie for the 8th seed in Sarajevo (Vliegen and Zemjla) all have the same amount of points, so how will they determine who will become the 8th seed?
Okay so Vliegen would be first as he's only played 15, followed by Boggo 25 then Zemjla 27. So hope for a withdrawl from someone above Alex for him to be seeded
If the wrist is still any sort of a problem, I am very pleased to see Laura taking time off. I certainly feel she should make sure it is right before playing again. There is absolutely no need for hurry or to take any chances.
I previously detected that there seemed to be an issue but it wasn't clear whether she was really going to take a good time out.
'I have recently returned home after two weeks in Sarajevo, Bosnia. I played really well out there in the two futures tournaments but only managed a quarter final and a 1st round even though I only lost my serve once in two weeks!!! looks like i need to sharpen up the tie-breaks. Next up, Bath futures starting 16th march.'
So he wont be playing Sarajevo quals i presume now.
Mmm, generally Chris's scores didn't look that tremendous against lower ranked opponents, best may have been his 2 tie break loss to BBD ( Big Bad Dom ) and he has kind of emphasised how he can't have broken serve that much.
That Dom match must have had no break of serves ( as some suspected ) since his the one break against him must have been in the following week's first round loss to Olejniczak ( POL ) WR 584 3 - 6 6 - 7 (2) . If Chris had broken serve during his 22 service games in these two matches it would have helped.
Obviously very impressive serve stats but overall "I played really wel!" ?

Agreed, it must take some doing to "play really well," fail to break serve once and lose to lower-ranked players both weeks ... (to be fair, Olejniczak was in on an SE and is better than his ranking suggests)
