Maybe no great reward for Tara, but I am pleased to see her reinforce the impression that she really is playing at a higher level again at the start of this year.

Anna and Cav beat Heather and Tara in the doubles 6-4 6-1 so both clearly in tip top form.

Cav won 6-7 6-1 6-3 not as impressive as yesterday but a good comeback win nonetheless.

That's the type of scoreline I would like to see more of though from Cav, not race away at the start and crash and burn like she normally does, here she loses a tight first set but then dominates from there.

That's tremendous stuff from the girls.   

Great to have 3 quarter finalists here, which certainly was beyond my expectations, and the manner of victory and the relative opponents is almost more impressive.

Good to see Anna having a good year so far, hopefully will play a sensible schedule this year and get her ranking up to where it has the potential to be.
