RE: Weeks 3-4: Australian Open Women's Doubles

The match is not on Eurosport Player, and there seems to be no live stream anywhere.

Robson/Peers 4-6 1-3* - just ended a run of nine straight games

It was on bet 365 . A match where Laura was struggling somewhat her wrist bandaged and clearly not striking the ball as well as in the previous match. Difficult to know how much she was hampered by the wrist we'll find out when she plays her singles tomorrow.

I must say Steven we must have been watching a different match. In her previous match Laura was way better than Sally but today it was pretty much even . The only positive I could say about Laura's performance was that she volleyed very well at times.

I only saw about half the points in the 1st set and none of the 2nd set, so I could well have got a skewed view of how it went. Also, I didn't see the previous round so I can't compare what I saw with what happened there. My overall impression though was that Laura wasthe best player on the court over the first few games, then started to struggle more and tailed off quite fast.

i saw the first set and really looked as if laura was carrying peers big time, at 4-2* i think laura won almost every point when she was returning, and sally only about 1, it was a long game, several bp's wasted. also sally missed a smash at the net to lose the set

I just think today I saw none of Robbo's trademark crushing groundstroke winners. She was consistent at the start but not hitting with the same amount of power as in her last match. In addition she was wearing a small bandage on her left wrist for her singles match which doubled in size for her doubles match. Even if you have got the slightest bit of a strain in your left wrist the power in your groundstrokes is going to tend to diminish.

Sounds like my expectations were lower because I haven't watched many of her matches before - she must be pretty awesome when she's really on song then!
