RE: Week 2 - Australian Open men's qualifying

stunning draws for the boys, let's hope evo and ward can keep up recent good performances, and boggo get the year off to a flyer

looking at Ventura's playing activity last year it seems he only played for three tournaments on hard and that was in this period, and then played clay for the rest of the reason, so he is a full on claycourte, and perhaps there is a real chance for dan

hmm i seriously doubt Vertura is a bum on hard courts...still Evo's beaten Phau and Odesnik, two guys who are probably superior on hard

I'll be there chaps, and hope to offer some insight in Thursday's Times. As has been reported, it is plunging from 43 degrees on Monday (talk about intense heat) to around the 23 forecast for tomorrow with showers in the offing. Our kind of weather. Could be a stop, start day. Chatted with Alex today, who seemed in excellent spirits, and had a natter with James's Spanish coach. Fingers crossed for all three of our male players. I want them to win as much as you guys do.....
Best wishes. OEM

Never heard this from a member of the British press ever.

Looking forward to seeing you around Melbourne park.

Good draw, could see our boys getting like 30 points from their travels, hopefully more

Some good draws for the Brits, in particular a **** bird of a draw for Evo, and if Gremelmayr isn't back to his best, i'd expect Dan to qualify.
Decent draws for the other two Brits as well, although i'm not quite as confident as Vandenberg, i'm going for two british qualifiers.

I need to lose my optimist tag, so i'll say 3 in FQR but only Wardy qualifying.

Part of me agrees with you, johnnylad. I can see Boggo going either VERY close in the FQR or somehow losing QR1.

I want to be SO wrong on that though.

GB LADS FTW! :D
