A strong contingent is in Eastern Europe for this event followed by a Grade 1 tournament in the Czech Republic which has provided British success in the past. Liam Broady has a tough opener against a player who beat him in straights last autumn.

Liam avenged his previous defeat in style (probably helped being indoors rather than on clay)

Just Richard and Ashley in the doubles semis. Ashley could really use the win tomorrow as his points portfolio is so flat (no big scores - he nearly always wins one or two matches) but Liam looks to have moved up a gear or two.
and it gets better!! (from liam's point of view). He hammered hewitt 1 and 2. Tom also won.
And btw should liam beat his unseeded opponent in the semi, he will have more points than the 100th ranked player, so top 100 place potentialy beckons, depending other results

Absolutely over the moon about Liam as he has a real good shot at becoming a top 100 senior player whereas sadly Ashley doesn't. Together with George and Ollie we have three players to genuinely get excited about. Lets not forget about Luke as well.
