From Jamie's website:

Jamie and Jonny Marray have safely made it through the first round at the Salinas Challenger.

They defeated Duclos/Siljestrom 6-4 6-4 to advance.

Speaking after the match, Jamie said:

"It's good to be in the tournament after starting a day later than we expected.

"Unfortunately for them, Siljestrom picked up an injury at 4-3 in the second set, and that helped us.

"It wasn't our best performance ever, but the playing conditions were difficult. "

News at last!  Firefox refuses to load the tournament home page from the ATP site & I've resorted to checking MTF ( bleh ), but they don't seem to give a tinker's about doubles results on there! frustrated.gifevileye At least it was worth waiting for... wink

Pleased to see the boys pick up another win. biggrin From Jamie's site:

Jamie and Jonny Marray are through to the semi-finals of the Salinas Challenger in Ecuador after a 6-4 6-4 win over Bednarek/Kowalczyk.

Speaking after the match, Jamie said:

"It's good to get the win.

"We played well on serve in the match, and had loads of chances to break but didn't manage it until the end of both sets.

"It's semi-finals for us tomorrow, and we're looking forward to that. But not before we treat ourselves to some lunch, and time by the pool!"

Marray/Murray win 6-2 6-1.

Either the top seeded "Thai twins" or Pospisil/Torres in the final, which is on court next.

thai twins are nothing to worry about, from what i can see mostly compete in weak challengers

Nice win! smile Pity about the slight blip in the fifth game of the second set when one or other of them dropped his service! hmm Even so, well done, boys. clap.gif  I assume it'll be the Rati Thais on the other side of the net in the final.

Yay.  Go Marray 'n' Murray!  Fab result.

They sound like a doubles partnership they should go far.  Like McNamara 'n' McNamee  or Woodbridge 'n' Woodforde.

I'm  feeling pretty good with mens Brit tennis at the mo despite the Aussie 3 struggling a bit.  What with Morgan Phillips' excellent win today.  Hutchins in the Sydney dubs final.  An unexpected Baker-Eaton final in a tough GB futures.  Eaton 'n' Inglot winning yet again...

Keep it up throughtout the year guys!
