Hi guys! Here again for the next few days doing a bit of freelance work so will keep you updated on scores etc.
RESULTS
Baker beat Gojowczyk 6-3 4-6 6-3
A match that Baker will be delighted to come through. Baker broke in the sixth game to go 4-2 up in the first set and held serve twice to win it 6-3. Baker was looking comfortable in the second set a break up at 4-3 but his groundstrokes then disintegrated and he was broken to love. Gojowczyk held serve and broke Baker's serve again to win the set 6-4. Baker upped his game in the third though and got an early break for 2-1. He served for the match at 5-2 and had two match points but was broken again. However, Baker got the job done in the next game and broke Gojowczyk's serve on his third match point to book a place in the second round.
Nieminen beat Inglot 7-6 (9-7) 6-1
LATEST
Bloomfield is at one set all with Brezac but is a break down at 1-3 in the decider.
No real surprises yet - what a pity Ignatik turned the screws on Dr No in the 3rd set though, if David could have got rid of him, that quarter would be looking a lot more friendly!
