Morgan Phillips (429) d. Adrians Zguns (527) [LAT] 6-2 7-5

Still to be played..

Daniel Cox (WR 269) vs. Ryan Young (WR 1292) [USA/L.L]
Daniel Smethurst [8] (WR 427) vs. Jean-Noel Insausti (WR 482) [FRA/Q]
Artem Sitak (WR 347) [4/RUS] vs. Joshua Milton (WR 558)
Marco Mirnegg (WR 716) [Q/AUT] vs. Alexander Ward (WR 638) [Q]

The results and draws are correct, but I'm not sure where the rankings boosts for Cox and the Wardinator have come from! confuse

L32: Morgan Phillips WR 429 beat Adrians Zguns (LAT) WR 544 by 2 & 5 smile.gif

L32: Dan Cox WR 466 v (LL) Ryan Young (USA) WR 1293
L32: (8) Dan Smethurst WR 426 v (Q) Jean-Noel Insausti (FRA) WR 479
L32: Josh Milton WR 555 v (4) Artem Sitak (RUS) WR 348
L32: (Q) Alexander Ward WR 717 v (Q) Marco Mirnegg (AUT) WR 636

Aside from Cox's ranking, a typo, the rest came from the USTA drawsheet. Should have checked them against the ATP website.

Thanks for flagging it up though Steven wink

Ah, I guess Cox's ranking was a single typo in last week's ranking, the rest all last week's rankings too and I've just noticed that the Ward/Mirnegg rankings were simply the wrong way round, which all makes a lot more sense. smile.gif

I imagine Dan & Josh stand a reasonable chance of reaching the [doubles] QFs, but I'd love to see a couple of upsets from the other lads. pray.gif

Morgan had a good day yesterday - & I guess two out of three, including one upset ( wink ), ain't bad:

Morgan Phillips & Dan Smethurst WR 1225 beat Bogdan-Victor Leonte & Juho Paukku (ROU/FIN) WR 1111 by 6-3 3-6 [11-9] biggrin

Dan Cox & Josh Milton WR 2106 beat Benjamin Rogers & Austin Smith (USA/USA) UNR by 3 & 4 smile

Denys Molchanov & Vladimir Obradovic (UKR/SRB)  WR 940 beat  Neil Pauffley & Alex Ward WR 1506 by 4 & 4

Good start to the year for Morgan as he gets off the mark and hopefully he will be joined by the other Brits out here, with perhaps only Milton not having a good draw.

Bad loss on the face of it for Dan ( cry ), but I wonder whether he may have picked up an injury of some sort, as he & Morgan have given the top seeds in the doubles, Ianni & Pavlovs (ITA/LAT), a walkover into the SFs. bleh
