Emily won the final 6-2 6-2. Whybourne was the third seed but gave Hope Johnson a walkover, hope she hasn't injured herself again.

Surprised by that I must say, though I daresay Lisa would've trounced both had she played. Good to see EWS get her 2nd win over a higher-ranked player in the last 12 months - though Jade hasn't managed one since about July IIRC. It's a real shame there's such a lack of 25ks at this time of year, as both Jade and Anna need them to push on, but there are so few that the cuts are ridiculous compared to late in the year (just look at Clearwater).

The British Tour moves to Swansea this week, and there will be a welcome return to competitive tennis for Olivia Scarfi who has been out for nearly a year and a half with a knee injury. Olivia is targeting a place in the Welsh squad for the Commenwealth Games in October.
