I think the forecast is for less snow but more windchill, so a positive and a negative on that front. I don't mind snow but its when it sticks around for weeks on end it becomes a major annoyance. Main roads are OK but everything else is a nightmare at the moment.

Na, just a few inches really. Looks as if the NE of England generally certainly worse than here in Edinburgh. But like there, off the main roads a pain.
Anyway, just about to have to go out in it, and whilst it looks very pretty through the window just now I anticipate my view on that changing quite quickly.
We're hard northerners I'll have you know, not quite as tough as the Scots I've no doubt but certainly much harder than our southern counterparts. If London had had the snow we've just had the whole capital would have come to a standstill and then some.
