Nice to have it confirmed though either way, that's both Ward and Evans had results in the first tournament of the year that have just disappeared  hmm.gif

I guess like Ward in his Q1 we await either the updated drawsheet or tomorrow's OOP.

Not the worst start to the year for Dan with him getting a good win in the first round and then putting up a respectable scoreline against Darcis, and hopefully whatever he has picked up from these two matches will help him in Aussie Open qualies.

ive got a feeling that were guna do well in aussie open qualies with 3 brits making the main draw excluding murray..

Darcis went on to qualify and subsequently thrashed 8th seed Guillermo Garcia-Lopez 6-4, 6-1. So EVO's loss is not in vein

I'll vote for Vandenburg as "optimist of the year" in the Forum Awards thread for 2010!

(or did you mean including the ladies? Then you could be right)

In his artery or course, honestly stircrazy, you know the arteries are the ones which lead away from the heart and this distance from Evo's heart is clearly what went wrong with the match, if it had been in his vein and heading back to the heart of matters he'd have been fine wink.gif

Seriously though, Darcis was always a tough prospect and it's nice to see him win in round1 and allow Evans' loss to be put in slightly clearly perspective.
