After a lengthy break (perhaps an injury time-out or someone giving a serving masterclass) we have a new Dan who wins 4 straight points on serve (by getting the first delivery in)

Ha ha, great minds think alike.  I had nearly suggested the break may be to do with them getting serving lessons.

Unfortunately 3 further consecutive first serves failed to win the point for Dan, and he goes down 0-40 and eventually loses another service game

Ah,  lost serve again  3 - 4"  even although he got 4 out of 6 first serves in and actually won one of th two second serve points.

Yep, they only managed one service retention each after their lessons smile

Dan has won 47% of his service points this set and Sergeyev 44% which is err not good.

Yes,  6 - 5 * 

Advantage Dan, he "just" has to win one of two pretty 50 / 50 games.  Sergeyev's service game or a tiebreak.
