Shame for Ward not to be able to hold on against Granollers but given that he got a set of Cilic today he must be in good form, and with this being Ward's first event back, he already far exceeded what was expected of him.

Flemski had a nice start to the year really with the match that they had and good to see them picking up an easy win to kick off the year.

"Bhup & Bops" finally saw off Cerretani & Rettenmaier by 6-3 7-6(5) when that encounter resumed earlier today (RSP yesterday evening).

The Indians really love their doubles thanks to the success of Bhupathi and Paes so I would expect a packed house with everyone cheering on the local guys.

Should be good preperation for the Davis Cup actually.

It goes on the combined ranking of both players.

Butorac & Ram had the best combined ranking of 77 (38+39) so were the top seeds.

Flemski have a combined ranking of 110 (54+56) and were unseeded.

77 is the combined ranking of the two players, the combined ranking of flemski is about 100
