The Manchester tournament never really attracted the number of players, mainly in qualifiers, to warrant having Challenger status. And from my point of view, even though the challenger attracted top 200 players the lower ranked Brits always tended to skip it (for the 'London' Futures), so seeing a few of the up and comers will be a plus point.
And I think everyone concurred that having two challengers in Jersey, when the LTA should be promoting British entrants in British tournaments (a statement straight out of the Daily Mail), was totally odd - so thats nothing other than a rather large but positive change in direction.

No Felixstowe? A big event at futures level for men and ladies, thats an odd one?????? 2 x 75k's for the ladies, especially back to back is a good thing for our girls I think though.
Has everyone noticed the change of date on the Manchester event.....it is now the 2nd week of Wimbledon, not afterwards.
