Yes, good luck in the Final Fitzy - £ 600 for the winner here, £ 400 for the runner-up, so hopefully that will help fund a trip to a tournament or two next year!

alright guys! yeah i got the win today, 6-3 up 5-0 40-0 down and managed to win the set 7-6 somehow. So as you rightly noticed thats a cool 600 pounds which is more than much needed!
i will try to make it last as long as possible, fine art i think i have perfected over the years.
Good luck for next season, I hope you manage to take out your career high in 2010.
I guess you would have hoped for a much better year on the Futures circuit, but at least you finished it with a couple of ranking points, which should get you seeded in qualifying for most Futures and give you a fighting chance of getting into plenty of main draws - it's pretty clear that when you're outside the top 1000, a lot depends on how many winnable main draw matches you happen to get. It depends on taking those chances when you get them too, of course, but the draws you get are very important at that level.

With nothing else on I decided to head down there today.
You could sort of sense the comeback to be honest at about 5-2, Fitzy was starting to get on top in the rallies (and there were a fair few long ones) and Roberts was getting visibly more frustrated, throwing his racket etc. Fitzy saved seven or eight set points in three seperate service games.
It was good solid play from both anyway, neither missing a lot and some really good rallies.
exactly correct steven, very dissapointing year given i must have qualified for about 8 or more futures and come away with just 2 points. no matter who im playing first round in futures i think i have a chance of winning and competing.
I thought there was someone from here watching, given there shouldnt have been any crowd as me and simon came alone! ha. bit depressing for the curtain call of the british tour season.
Fitzy always comes across to me as a real fighter. Should he not be included in some way on the following list revealed in another thread today? Surely he has some right to access the pot.
Team AEGON Players 2010 (*denotes those players who have progressed from the AEGON FutureStars Programme, while marks the four additional senior players)
i somehow dont think i will ever be seeing any of that 'pot' there are other players that deserve it more than me, but it would be nice to get some sort of backing.
