Nowak faced three Brits in Sunderland last month, beating Michaela Ince and Alexandra Walker before going down 4 & 4 to Jade Curtis in the QFs. Before that, her previous two matches against Brits were losses to Sabrina Bamburac in Edinburgh and Anna Fitzpatrick in Felixstowe.

Not sure on tennis season. It's there for those that want to play I guess. Some players could stop now and be done for the year but some, particularly those who have been injured, may want to recoup losses from injuries so it's there for those that need it.

The WTA season is long enough. I never like it when players complain that it's too long. Don't play millions of events then? Anyway, not getting too far into this. It's a can of worms and I DON'T LIKE WORMS.
