And the good news is... Taylor Dent, the top seed, & Andreas Haider-Maurer (AUT/8) are out of the top half of the draw, Dent beaten 6-7(5) 3-6 by the Uruguayan, Marcel Felder, & AHM by the Mexican qualifier, Victor Romero, by 4 & 4. That's of less immediate concern to Jamie, of course. He needs to concentrate on getting past Zemlja...

Bad news for Jamie in Singles as he lost 1-6 6-4 6-1

Did go through in Doubles with N Roshan (AUS) after being an alternate.

Delgado also out of doubles after losing 2-6 6-1 10-8 in his quarter final

Jamie B + Nima Roshan(AUS) who now appear in the doubles draw as ALT and have a W/O in the 1st round, how lucky is that? They play Mexicans Rodriguez + Romero who took out the no 1 seeds on court 8.

In the SF they will play the unseeded Spaniards, Olaso & Riba, who did for Delgo & JPF in the QF, so an opportunity for JB to avenge two defeats, Delgo's in the doubles & Bloomers' in the singles!

I think maybe given Riba is still in the singles, maybe he should concentrate on that and withdraw from the doubles smile
