RE: William Hill?

Hmmm. I had occasion to look at my Kaspersky Internet Security settings, for another reason, and found that the banner blocking was not set. I'm convinced it was before. Can some of these programs actually un-set such a thing?

Anyway, I have now set it again and no longer get that annoying fella telling me every day that I am the millionth visitor or some such thing. . .

Strange, Mad, wonder it's in some way connected to your banner blocking ?

Yes, it was. Now, do I want emoticons, or do I want the annoying banner ads? Choice between the Devil and the deep blue sea.

Having real problems with your site this morning, not the forum, that's the only that works. Can't access the stats or the competitions page (from Google). because I've bookmarked the stats and not the forum I only got on through my history pages. Once on the forum there's something marked "No title" which takes me to the home page, that doesn't work either. It leaves you waiting for ages, progress bar is completely blank, and then tells you the server can't connect.

i cant access the stats either. nor can i access my own freewebs Boggo site so its probably a problem there.

Does your Boggo site use Active board as well? if freewebs is not accessible, then does that mean there's a wider problem?

no just freewebs.

i thought the BT.net part of this site was hosted by freewebs though?

the 'no title' has always linked back to the BT.net home page as far as i know.

The freewebs site itself is up but judging by the stats on the Stats page, the server they use to host sites like BT.net has been down since sometime between 8 and 9 am. It was working this morning when I tried it, but I think that was between 6 and 7.

No doubt it'll come back up when they feel like it ...

Edit: on their twitter at http://twitter.com/WEBSDOTCOM they say "We are currently tracking an issue with sites that have their own domain name and are working very hard to get it resolved quickly. Sorry for the inconvenience."

Edit2: Not exactly a long term solution, but if you put in the URL as http://www.freewebs.com/britishtennis/stats.html, the page appears ... but none of the links work unless you replace the www.britishtennis.net with www.freewebs.com/britishtennis in them as well.
