Two breaks of serve by Ross and Horia to lead 3-0 in the second set. Now that's more like it. clap.gif

10-8 in the MTB! w00t.gif  Phew!  A few MPs wasted, mind...  *mops brow*  So glad I said Junaid was proving a danger this week!  I like being proved wrong! wink The Czech third seeds, Friedl & Skoch, in the SF.  They'll have to pull their socks up against them! nod.gif

Tried very hard to almost throw that away.disbelief Came through in the end, but against Friedl and Skoch they will not have to be so profligate. Well done, to tough it out in the MTB.hat.gif

That puts him at around 160 - keep it up Boggo

Unless you've actually done the calculations, I'd guess not quite that high - based on what you needed to get to a certain ranking last Monday, he'd be up to about 163 and there are 5 Challengers this week c.f. 4 in the same week last year, so for once this year, the points thresholds may go up rather than down.

More importantly, it's great to see Boggo continuing to do so well this autumn biggrin - what is also very impressive is that next Monday, he will have one Challenger title, 3 semis and 4 QFs in his ranking, i.e. 8 QFs or better, despite only having been seeded in 4 Challenger main draws in the last 12 months - Cancun last November (out in R1). Wolfsburg in February (reached QFs) and the two Jersey Challenger (one SF, one out in R1), i.e. he has won a title, reached 2 semis and 3 QFs in Challengers in which he wasn't even seeded. smile

Another mini-milestone Boggo will reach on Monday is that it will be the first time he's been ranked in the top 170 since the Monday after the Austria DC tie, so his ranking will finally have recovered from the effects of being the scapeGOAT and the battering his confidence seemed to take as a result - never mind the fact that (sadly) all the players who have replaced him in DC singles have done even worse, except perhaps Eaton who won a dead rubber (something which Alex managed in AUS a few years back too) but whose performances everywhere else have seen him almost drop out of the top 500

Didn't we have this discussion a couple of weeks ago! Yes I have done the calculations - the likes of Lammer/Soeda dropping big points..could of course be overtaken but looking good at moment

Oops time to eat humble pie - just realised I typed 160 when I should have put 165!

A win tomorrow would put Boggo in the top 160:

Latest rankings

160 - R-Hildalgo    321
161 - D.Marrero    321
162 - F.Cipolla      318
163 - K.Anderson 312
164 - P.Andujar    312
165 - A.Boggo      307

Pins should be stuck in direction of Dabul, Haider-Maurer and Soeda

Berrer has just beaten Koubek. Boggo up next.

I'm feeling strangely confident about Boggo's chances today........hope that's not a bad sign.
