Kucova's style of play is similar to that of Korrytseva who dashed Annie K's dreams in Kolkota back in 07, they both hit the ball hard and deep, but don't actually go for too many winner, relying on the opponent being forced into a mistake.

Kucova manages to hold despite some woeful serving, thanks to some blistering ground strokes, and a rather dubious line call that went in her favour.

Anna 4-1*

Kucova gets to 40-0...and then serves four double faults in a row. Kucova then hits a backhand wide on break point, but it wasn't called and Kucova then holds on.

The streaming has frozen for me, I can hear sound but have no idea what is going on. Last I knew it was 30-30 on Anna's serve....

Anna had a break point but after a long rally Kucova hit a forehand winner.
