Excellent win for Dan smile.gif - that'll take him ahead of Flembo & Phillips to GB no. 7 and inside the top 450 (probably top 440) for the first time.

In R2, he'll play Ignatik, who took out the no. 2 seed in R1.

I wonder why the scheduler didn't hold over two pairs of adjacent matches until today confuse- instead, all the winners of today's matches will be playing someone who has had a day's rest.

Super win for Smethurst.smile Should be an interesting match against Ignatik (279). In with a chance if he can produce today's form. A week Col will probably want to forget!cry

Cracking win for Smethy today, surely he has to be the most improved British player of 2009?

Smethurst plays Ignatik second on Court 4 with play starting at 10:30 while Evans plays Nieminen first match on Court 2 with play starting at 1:00.

Off topic I know but as no one else can possibly be seeing this  wink :-
Every day I log on here I get a message that I am the 10,000 visitor and am told (Audio) "Congratulations, you have won" - Aren't I lucky?
It is beginning to get on my nerves though furious

Great win for Dan yesterday and he does look to be progressing through the ranks really well.

Another test for him today against Ignatik and it would be an upset if he was to win, but it is not beyond the realms that he could do it.

Shame for Flembo not to be able to hold on as well having won the opening set so easily.
