Andy leads the H2H 6-1, but the first five wins were before Nando pulled his socks up and became the player he is today. And the last win, he had a bit of an injury. He is the sort of hard hitter to whom I feel Andy is a bit vulnerable. Plus, Verdasco is fighting to confirm his place at the O2. From all of which you may gather I'm not confident of a win for Andy today, especially as he will be wishing to avoid injury while his opponent will want to put it all on the line. . .
I'll miss the start of this as I won't get in until 7pm. Fingers crossed.

Wow! Mikhail Youzhny's just beaten his compatriot, (2) Davydonkey, by 3-6 6-4 6-3, so if Andy can see off Verdasco, he faces an unseeded opponent in the final. That said, Youzhny seems to be on a bit of a roll... Andy really could do with taking the title, given that NoDjo's through to the final in Basel...
I have fingers crossed, but am doubtful about the outcome of this match. As Mad says, Nando has got a grip of himself and realised just how potent a player he can be. Hope our boy's at the top of his game.
Been a bit of a boring match, neither player playing great (and that might be a bit kind) Verdasco went completely off the boil at the end of the first set after starting the better player.
