Well done of reaching the QFs to those three - especially young Amy A. Bit of a hiccup for Elisha Gabb, though - she's on good form and I had expected her to win here.

The girl Elisha lost to is a 14 year old who has reached the final of her last 3 tournaments, so her loss is not too surprising. Amy's scoreline is impressive considering her opponent took out the number 3 seed. She played Fran 3 times during the summer on clay, with Fran winning 2, but Amy may have the edge on hard courts.

Borthwick/Gabb will contest the doubles final against an unseeded japanese pair.

I would be happy if either Amy or Daneika make it through to the final. Gavrilovska is a rapidly rising 1995 girl who reached the final of a Grade 2 recently whilst Thongsing has swatted her three opponents aside.

An expected final result, but the tournament has been a success for Amy, who is making up for lost time, having effectively been out for 8 months from last October. Most of our girls playing in Thailand (except Amy) are down next for the big North American tournaments in November/December

Lucy's conqueror last week Haochen Tang finally lost her year-long unbeaten record today (in the Grade 1 Asian Closed) but Jason Kubler extended his run to 30 matches.
