Another great result from Boggo. He really has found some decent form at the back end of this year. No reason why he can't progress to the Quarters at least.

really pleased with that. looked like a real tough match, Meffy has been playing fairly well recently and did beat Alex comfortably earlier in the year. the game at 4-3 in the 3rd really was vital, generally whoever wins a game like that will come out on top and it probably just drained Meffy.
fingers crossed he can go deep here and pick up some good points, really need to be making the semis at least though, unfortunately quarters just don't cut it any more if he wants to progress upwards.

Yes, 13 points for QF would take him to 297 points.
Currently 175th place is 300 points and then there are 4 guys ( 176th to 179th ) on 298 points.
I've not done a ( Steven ) analysis on what points these guys ( and other guys around ) will drop or can gain this week.
Anyway, Boggo's going on and on here.....
PS : One of the 298 pointers is actually Meffert so I had a quick look at his situation. He's not due to drop any points this week so Alex woiuld have to go further than QFs to overtake him this week, but the guy does have 26 points to drop the following week fropm last year's Jersey Challenger QF.
Alex has nothing to come off the rest of the year and even after this week just 16 counting tournaments.

Well done to both of them - I make it that these wins will take Boggo to about 184 (up 2) and Josh to about 280 (down 45, but up about a dozen places on where he would have been when the Rimouski semis points come off if he hadn't won a match here)

ooo well done that man - its like the good old 'what if' days are back.
actually we always though due to the points changes boggo could make gains at the end of the year. fingers crossed he can stay fit and get some more wins to maximise on it.
also will his ranking at the end or start of this week be used to determine Jersey seedings? i should know thsi already!
