RE: Week 44 - Challenger (€30,000+H) - Eckental, Germany - Indoor Carpet

A little disappointing to see Boggo lose having had a great win in round one but it did look like the other bloke served well which makes it hard for Boggo to get anything on return.

Hopefully it will keep him fresh for next week though and he can claim another title then.

bit of a disappointment that. i had expected Boggo to progress. he was playing excellently in training leading up to the event, although i did hear he may have a niggle in his foot.

However having had a look at the clip Imo dug up it could have just been if Nils played with that power and aggression throughout and found the lines Boggo probably didn't get a look in. Often in theses matches you sometimes have to hope your opponent misses a few.

fingers crossed that the foot thing isn't serious and he can be ready for Jeresy.

Didn't really expect Boggo to lose that one, but Langer does seem to be a bit of an unknown prospect.

Seems in a way similar to the match against Koning earlier in the year where Boggo just couldn't get a look in on serve.

possibly, i think Boggo is playing more solid right now that he was then. We have seen recently him coming through some tight matches, but i guess you just get bad match ups occasionally etc.

still fingers crossed for his last few events and hopefully another good run. Alex is thinking about going to Salzburg now too, still not 100% as it would be 5 weeks in a row, but i think if he feels he is playing well then he has a good chance to get some vital points.

Before he went to Germany Alex attended a Save the Children Festival of Tennis at the NTC as a guest speaker etc (not to play - wouldn't be fair on the fundraisers!!), and i have a few photos of him in action there up on my site if anyone is interested. link in the sig.
