Great opening win for Boggo in this event but doesn't look like he is going to be able to follow it up against someone that he really should be looking to beat.
Having won the second set you would hope he would go on to claim the win but it doesn't look like it is going to happen unfortunately.
Can't argue with the outcome, Langer obviously played better, using serve effectively and never faced a break point. 6 of his service games were held to love at least
either the german has a huge serve or alex didn't return brilliantly. bit disappointing he couldn't capitalise on an opening in draw but on to jersey and a good chance to get some big points and keep climbing.
Pity to just get the 5 ranking points when the top half of the draw had opened up a bit and there seemed the potential for a much more significant haul.
Was weird, in the tiebreak alex won a number of points off Langer's serve whereas in the match he rarely got a look in. I thought when alex held from 0-40 that would dent Langer's confidence obviously it spurred him on and held the next game to love. At that point I had a feeling langer was going to win
Disappointing for Alex but Langer seems to be a '90 birth who, although not a shooting star, is making steady progress and could be yet another deutsche who comes good at 23+.
He also would appear to have a big serve: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BWwWFfS9EOI
