Nice to see Dom doing so well. His doubles success with Chris Eaton must give him confidence and the desire to win in singles as well. The signs were there in Glasgow a few weeks back. Interesting how the wild cards were dished out, all adopted Virginians! I wonder how the rest of the Americans who had to qualify felt about that. Only problem is the serve volley game can be fragile. If the serve goes..... Also good returners will blunt the weapon and without the ability in other aspects of the game, the result is inevitable. Lets hope Young is not in that category!
deffo a winnable match, this kid dominic has made a bigger impact than the strokes did in 2001 with 'last night'
i always preferred Hard to Explain
hard to explain is a good tune but more comparable to jamie baker, very underated and uknown
id compare evans and willis and rice to the libertines circa 2001-02 with all the doherty crap n the drugs with barrat, with the record label taking their funding away.
confirmed 4-6 3-6, plays his doubles semi tonight.
That's a great shame, but perhaps not entirely unexpected, I hesitate to say "given the disparity in their rankings", as, in view of his giant-killing heroics in the earlier rounds, we were probably all hoping he could manage at least one more! Even so, I think it's fair to say he's had a great week & been bloody good value for his WC! And it ain't over yet. Here's hoping he can go one better in that doubles SF, agin the Aussie second seeds, Hensel & Hubble. (first match on court, at 18.00 GMT)

Tehee! They've only been & gone & done it: beat the Aussies by 6-4 3-6 [10-8]! They will play the third seeds, Martin Emmrich & Andreas Siljeström (GER/SWE), in the final tomorrow!

With such a huge difference between winners and losing finalists now (75pts - 45pts) those odd points at the end were very costly but, a very good week indeed and great to have a new name to look for at this sort of level

The full result was 4-6 6-3 [9-11]. What a shame to have got that far only to lose out on a couple of points in the CTB! As it is, Dominic's exploits last week meant that he rocketed up 334 places in the singles rankings to 770th this morning & 179 in the doubles to 344th (Brit N° 12).
